Jinkx Monsoon performs “All That Jazz” during An Evening at Le Faux

May 10, 2013 - first night of performing in Seattle after winning the crown!

Congrats Jinkx Monsoon!

I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for acting on that feeling to audition for Drag Race. We needed you. And I for one am even more proud to be a Seattle-ite now :)

Jerick Hoffer (Jinkx Monsoon) sings a bit of Yma Sumac Malambo No. 1

Even if it is just the audio, I’m happy this was recorded

And that’s why I started creepily recording audio even when I’m not recording video. As soon as it happened, I knew I had to piece it together and share this bit.

Awesome! It’s been some time since I’ve seen any of my videos gif’ed.

After flying all day, there was no time to transform into Jinkx Monsoon, so Jerick joined us instead. :)

REBLOG if you want Jinkx Monsoon to be America’s Next Drag Superstar!

Collection of answers from each eliminated queen when asked who they are now rooting for:

Detox: Me. I don’t know! I love each of the girls so much that hasn’t been brought to the table. It’s hard to throw my support to just one. Roxxxy is my sister, but they all have points of view and drag that need to be showcased! The glory of Jinkx, Alaska, and Roxxxy needs to be seen!

Coco: Oh, God! OK — I know you said only one. Based on friendship and loving and adoring her, Roxxxy. I’ve loved her since day one, we’ve known each other for years, and she’s amazing. Looking at the competition and who’s excelled so much in everything and who I’ve gotten to know and love, just everything about her, I’d have to say Jinkx. The comedy is hilarious, and being with her on set and after the competition, she’s just amazing.

Alyssa: Jinkx Monsoon. I think he’s mastered the art. His craft is so wide-ranged. And the b*tch is funny. I would pay to go watch him on Saturday night, and I would sit in my cocktail dress, hold my clutch, and beat the wall. I would get tipsy and have a good time. That’s how I’m looking at it. I think Alaska is a very sweet person and I really enjoy him. Roxxy is a friend of mine. Detox is hysterical. Coco is actually a very good performer. But Jinkx Monsoon is leading the pack for being so wide-ranged. I can give credit where it’s due. I can give my curtsy, my little bow. I hope it’s him. He’s so deserving.

Ivy: I am 100% going for Jinkx. Not just because I’m in the closest relationship with her, but because she’s a warm-hearted and genuine person. She’s so talented, and I think she’ll go really far. I hope she wins. Definitely Jinkx.

Jade: I just love both of my sisters — Coco and Jinkx. But if you were forcing me to make one decision, I just love Jinkx so much. She is genuinely a sweetheart, and her personality just shines. She has a heart of gold, and I feel like that’s what a drag superstar should be. She’s humble, sweet, and amazing. And talented! And it’s new. She’s something we haven’t heard before. So I’d be proud if she were the next drag superstar.

Honey: God, that is so hard. I would pick Jinkx, I think. She’s my Pacific Northwest sister and I love how much of a character she is. She’s just a really joyful person to be around. That would be my pick.
2nd: My top 2 picks are Jinx and Detox.

Vivienne: Gosh, that is a very hard one. You know what, based on talent, beauty, and the fact that we had a really, really good connection, I’d have to say Alyssa Edwards. I love her. She really is very talented and so drop-dead gorgeous.
2nd:  I would say narrow it down to 2: Alyssa Edwards as she is so gorgeous and talented and Jinx Monsoon as I think she is amazing and has a unique style. In addition she is very sweet.

Monica: None of ‘em. None of ‘em! No, just joking. I love them all and I wish them all the best, but for right now the one who I think deserves to win is Jinkx Monsoon.

Serena: My queen who I’d give my support to is Coco Montrese. I learned from her! I don’t even think I remembered everything that happened until I saw her on TV, but her [way of speaking] is very impressive. I think somebody like her should be crowned ultimate queen so that everyone can venerate her!

Penny: I don’t think there’s anyone I am rooting against. That’s great on TV, but in our real personal lives, it doesn’t do anything for anybody. I think it hurts us more than it hurts them. As far as rooting for, I think Detox is a genius. I would like to see that represented as what is America’s Next Drag Superstar. There are obviously other talented people on the show, like Roxxxy — brilliant — and I love Alaska. But I think Detox is a marriage between onstage talent and a great business mind. She can take care of an audience while partying like a rockstar, which I’m completely incapable of. I think she would be a great representative for the franchise.

Note: I can’t find an interview where Lineysha was asked this question.
